I was in the MEA Cedar loundge in Beirut Airport, in the WC was this young guy who happened to be one of the speakers on the latest March 14 celebrations in Biel who made a speech about the new generation respecting the laws (Tall balded guy). The WC were stuffed with smoke from his cigarettes and when I asked him kindly to stop it because I am allergic, he said to file a complaint. Which I did at the reception of the MEA Cedar Loundge. To my surprise, the lady at the desk wanted me to change the complaint and to ask for an amendment of the law instead, which I refused. So whether Hizb, Amal, Future, 14 March or MEA, impolite and disrespectful ppl exist everywhere.
Some people on the other hand are respectful and if you ask them they are ready to turn it off even if they just started it. Hope this kind of mentality will grow in all lebanese.
That lady has been arrested the pilot did an emergency landing and she was taken off the plane. A friend of mine works in MEA and just told me about it.
Are fire extinguishers kept on airplanes?
I’m sure she called an uncle in the Hizb or the Iztez’s crew and is home smoking up an ergileh by now!

Summarizes the Lebanese mentality in general. People who smoke inside the airport or in closed public spaces are no different.
