I went yesterday to Rikky’s in Faqra-Kfardebian and the whole road from Zouk to Kfardebian was paved with new asphalt. It was the smoothest ride I’ve had in ages to Faraya.
It looks like some candidates have already started their electoral campaigns!
and its not the only road that was paved. Jeita is too, even dbayeh and many others.
I wish the readers would add the roads they’ve seen newly paved
This was made for the pope visit
Not really. They started working after the Pope left.
May be the Pope is running in the elections.:D
And this is how people will forget all the unproductive 4 years in which corruption increased, security worsened, debt heightened and prices soared and once again, they will elect those officials who paved the roads that would probably only last for a few months after the elections due to bad paving work…
I hate politics and politicians, but check the episode of newtv show called al fasad that was done with former minister charbel nahhas and check what he had to say. He exposed a lot of things that usually dont go out for public but remain blocked in the politicians meetings. In other words, he exposed a lot of the corruption that is going on and especially about the salary increase issue for the public sector.
The roads were paved now, and in few months they will have works going on them again and again, like usual. And this was just for elections reasons.
I believe that 2 petitions should be made. One to force the current government to resign and another not vote in the elections. Usually voting means having expressing your opinion even if it was a white paper, but in lebanon it is not the case, cos they will still consider white paper as the will to go and vote. Unless really worthy and competent people run for elections, i do not think that there should be people voting at elections.
Politics was never about competent people but of what is possible. Right now only paving the road is possible (if Ghazi Aridi allows it). Talkin about Nahhas, he was competent but everybody, opposition and government and even the president hated him and his plan, what could he achieve, Nada!!
Sorry for the typos hehe
No lanes, no delimiters, no signs, no lights, no pedestrian crossing, no walkable sidewalks…
Also, note where the cars are parked.
They still have a long way to go before I call it ‘a smooth ride.’
