Is this for real or is it photoshopped? If real, then frickin’ hilarious 😀
It’s for real.
it really is not illogical… we only have illogical drivers in lebanon… i mean all directions are clearly mentioned well before you reach that interchange… however, because lebanese drivers are better than everybody else, they wait until the last split second to change lanes… resulting in the usual traffic jams….
everywhere in the world you have a service road (here it leads to city mall and etc…) you have have the exit which is almost always on the righhand side of the road after the service road… and you have your highway….
everybody knows what the issues in nahr l mot bridge are (city mall access and what not) and everybody knows the issue with jal el dib bridge.. and i will not be surprised to see a new (weird) creation to accomodate the businesses on the highway
The bridge is misplaced and you are trying to find excuses. deviating a bridge used by hundreds of thousands of cars daily for the favor of a private company is a crime.. what would have happened if it was placed on the right and 4-5 lanes would have been open to continue to dora or turn right after the bridge to access city mall and spare the confusion and the traffic
Ronz my man… the bridge is ok… lebanese drivers are not… i am not defending anyone i swear… but you cannot deny that lebanese are rogue drivers… it happens everywhere in lebanon where drivers would “open” a new lane just to get ahead of the other drivers thus causing jams…
honestly if drivers keep right whenever they want to go over the bridge, the jams would be a lot less…
try driving on the leftmost of the highway.. why is there always traffic jams when right after the bridge it clears off? because drivers are coming from extreme left to extreme right to get over the bridge…
i concede that the design is not perfect… but it is not that bad… ONLY BAD DRIVERS.. and i am ashemed to say i am one of them… like every other lebanese
The highway before the bridge has 4 lanes, 3 dedicated to the Dora highway and 1 supposedly to the exit. The problem is there are 2 exits right next to each other (The sin el fil bridge and the road to city mall) which make the bridge in the middle and create a huge chaos.
not at all, you see my friend, the exit to “traffic local” and the exit to the bridge are very well on the right of the highway… therfore, if the drivers keep right all the way, they would not hold up the cars behind them.. easy stuff… you know where you are going, you know how to get there, stop complaining and keep your lane… dont play it “a la libanaise” and go grom extreme left to extreme right and vice versa…
actually reminds me of “cheyef 7alak” episode where the taxi driver “bishekka shakk” from left to right!! hahaha
problem: no traffic law enforcement!
solution: God knows…
I live abroad… try to find a lebanese breaking laws anywhere else in the world… none, why? Law enforcement…
really it is not a debatable issue… the problem is drovers and law enforcement…
on the other hand, pot holes… now that’s a topic… sort mta3wij jnouta ad mafi sha3r brasse!!
install a camera… take pictures of violating drivers… fine them… people will learn… nobody can afford paying fines anymore these days…
but we all know we cannot enforce this in lebanon…
Interesting theory re the mall; is this based on something written or inside info you have? Or just a guess?
i know someone in majlis l inma2 wal i3mar…
same thing applies to the jal el dib bridge… many many designs were presented, but they were all refused… refused by the owners of the shops and businesses on the highway… ironically, now they are demonstrating..
i am not against building a bridge, however they had many chances…
Interesting theory Ronz re the mall calling in a favor; is this based on something written or inside info you have? Or just a guess? (sorry for double posting, question was in response to Ronz)
Successful troll is successful.
whats with the king head ?
Just explained it in the post. that’s their facebook group name 🙂
The bridge is not illogical, the road before it, and Lebanese drivers are.
The road before it should have 2 lanes dedicated for the bridge, it only has one… they should remove some of mobily top’s parking and make another lane there for the road to function properly.
People are stupid and remember that they should take the bridge 10 metres before it and jump 5 lanes to get to it.
the bridge is very well conceived. the main problem is that ppl are not used to chose the lane at the right time. That would be solved by building a long fence between the city mall service road and the interchange bridge lane way before the bridge. this way ppl taking the service road will not bother ppl willing to take the bridge and reciprocal.
Wonder if they’re planning a next move…
I can’t believe that people in the comments actually believe that the bridge is perfectly normal! Is the designer a relative of yours or what?
rami boy, this is your opinion… what is the background of your comment? is it “common sense”?
As a matter of fact it is. You wouldn’t understand, you clearly lack of it.
no need to get offensive there chief…
what is your background? are you more qualified than the team of engineers and specialists who developped this project?
if so, i think you should put your “common sense” in action to design the new jal el dib bridge… you can be a hero…
With all my love and appreciation to your talent,
