Over 33,000 runners defied today the bad weather to take part in the 9th edition of 2012 Beirut Marathon. Ethiopian runner Kadir Pecaro won the 42.195 Km race while “Hussein Awada was the first Lebanese to finish the same race with a time of 2 hours and 28 minutes” [Naharnet].
