Lebanese sprinter Aziza Sbaity is the 200m Arab Champion 2023 after defeating Kuwaiti Mudahawi Al-Shammari and Moroccan Sara El Hachimi at the 2023 Arab Championships currently being held in Marakech, Morocco. Aziza was Lebanon’s only gold medalist at the games and has also won silver at the 100m race.

Team Lebanon won a total of 5 medals, all by its women athletes, including two medals (🥇, 🥈) for Aziza Sbeity, one bronze medal (🥉) for Joan Makary at the 800m race, one bronze medal (🥉) for Rasha Badrani at the 400 hurdles race, and a silver medal (🥈) for Tala Fakhoury, Nada El Kurdi, Joan Makary & Rasha Badrani at the 4X400m race.
