“The show must go on.”

The Baalbeck International Festival is defying the COVID-19 confinement by going virtual and broadcasting live on July 5 a newly conceived concert by Maestro Harout Fazlian and produced by the Baalbeck International Festival. “The Sound of Resilience” is an act of cultural resilience, unity, and hope and will serve as an example for future concerts to be held during the ongoing health crisis.

The show will be held without an audience of course, and will be broadcasted live on all local TV channels in addition to Arab and International outlets. It will also be live streamed on the Festival’s social media and other digital platforms.

This non-profit concert is performed by the Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra with the Choirs of the Antonine University, Notre Dame University and Qolo Atiqo, as well as young Lebanese musicians, under the baton of Maestro Fazlian, with the participation of dancers from the Makriss Dance Ministry troupe. The scenography which includes archive photos and visual creations is by Jean Louis Mainguy.
