It is kind of unfair, this new boot thing taking place. The problem with this is that the thing you have to put money into only takes 2,000LL max if you only have coins. Leaving you with 2 hours to spare. Lets say you have a job and in a meeting and can’t make it down to put more money in because it only lasts 2 hours. You are left with the boot and a 40,000LL fine if you are in Beirut.(The fines depends on what region you are in, lets say this happens to you in Trablos it will only cost you 5,000LL) You can aviod this though by buying a prepaid card to get more time added on. If this happens to you though you can call the # on the ticket they leave on your windshield but when the guy comes to remove it he will also make you pay any other parking tickets before he removes it. If you are a rebel these boots are made of poor quality so I suggest for anyone who is being burdened with this nonsence to carry a metal cutter in your trunk. But I would not suggest to park in the same spot/area after you remove it yourself. 😉
