April 30 2018 was the last day of work in sweeping and collecting waste for Sukleen in Beirut. Starting May, another contractor, Ramco if I'm not mistaken, will be carrying out these duties. Sukleen has been operating in Beirut since 1994 and its contact had been extended twice up until they halted operations in 2015 due to a lack of storage space and the closure of the Naameh landfill. Unfortunately, there's still no clear solution…

I have no words to describe what's happening in these pictures. They're dyeing a freaking camel in blue to show support to their political leader and dragging the helpless animal on the street. I don't even want to know if they slaughtered the camel or not, I have no idea how they can be laughing while torturing the poor animal. Ignorance and stupidity at its best.
