He shows up an hour and a half late to the concert, delivers a lousy performance yet people still cheer for him. I will never understand why this guy has so many fans.

Well mainly because he is brilliant. He depicts the Lebanese suffering through humor, transcendental lyrics and tunes reminding us of the essence of living. Anyways his loyal fans would never leave him even though he was a little late. Cant you assume that something accidental came up ?
