Following the latest Scream VI ban, I thought of compiling a list of all banned movies & shows in Lebanon based on previous blog posts and online findings. There was a museum of censorship initiative launched by March Lebanon where a long list of banned movies was published but the website is unfortunately down. The below list is definitely not a final one and I will keep on updating it as soon as I find new/old entries:

The Antichrist (2009) – Offensive to Christianity
Waltz with Bashir (2008) – Israeli movie.
Persepolis (2008) – Political Motive.

In addition to those, All Charlie Chaplin & Stanley Kubrick movies are banned in Lebanon, as well as several movies by Ingmar Bergmann. There’s also a list that we shared some 12 years ago on the blog that includes many shows and movies supposedly banned such as:
