After clinching the Francois Chalet prize at the Cannes Festival, Nadine Labaki’s new movie “Where do We go Now?” won the people’s choice award for best picture at the Toronto International Film Festival. [Link]
The release date in Lebanese theaters is on the 22nd of September. Looking forward to watching it.
Well i’ve seen the avant premiere yesterday, what an extraordinary movie !
I would like to point out also that out of the 33 winners of Toronto film festival, 23 of them headed to the Oscars, and 15 of those won prices at the Oscars.
the movie is representing Lebanon as a candidate to the Oscars.
Good luck Nadine
I seriously can’t wait till I see this movie, I have pretty high hopes for it since Caramel was absolutely amazing and it didn’t even win anything remarkable. Fingers crossed for the Oscars 🙂
is it available on DVDs? online? We don’t have it at the movies where I live (Canada)
thanks
Nid,
It’s not on DVD yet. It was featured in the Montreal movie festival, so maybe there are some theathers who r going to broadcast it.
When will it be available on dvd??
I saw the movie Hala2 Lawein today and I loved it. Nadine Labaki satisfies our hunger for beautiful movies, of a dream of life as it should be… in that way she reminds us of the songs of Feyrouz and the works of the Rahbanis…
The movie makes us cry sometimes and laugh other times, and portrays basic emotions of simple good natured people, of people as they should be..
Bravo Nadine, best of luck for the Oscars
