I took this picture from the Casino Du Liban. I wonder what those huge and empty parking lots are for. There’s absolutely nothing there except Manarit el Khaleej restaurant which already has a huge parking and some new restaurant for Ghassan Saliba called “Sayf el Ba7er”.
maybe for the casino. They can be transferred by shuttles.
I thought maybe for the Lido show nearby 😛
Wondered about the same thing when i first saw them… yeah i think it’s for the Casino when it gets Busy, and it’s helpful for Valet parking in the Area for any of the restaurants. if that is the case, it beats Beirut’s parking on the streets solution… one big valet parking lot to handle cars from several venues…
it is for the casine
they park there and the get back using those golf-cart-like vehicles
Call me crazy, because I am Australian and all, but…isn’t that a beach right there? Here in Oz, every beach has a carpark like that next to it, for people who wish to SWIM and maybe even SURF! 😀
T
guys this is a public project to create a mechanique (car inspection) test zone here. but u know how endless public projects tend to get in lebanon.
im from jounieh and this info is 100 % true.
its a shame that they are going to waste all that space just for cars to park
This parking used to be used as a landing zone for paragliders a while back. Now they have another location in front of the Telefrique entrance.
Sometimes, I bike there!
The parking lot used to belong to Casino Du Liban, it has later been abandoned, now it’s empty and useless…
I Find it shameful to leave it so… it can be turned in a public garden or a green space full of pine trees or anything that could highlight the neglected Roman Bridge nearby!
