Discover Gemmayze was amazing today! Thousands of people in the streets, plenty of artists, lots of fun and activities and more importantly no cars polluting the air. I am still holding high hopes for the Achrafieh2020 initiative and I wish we could have monthly car-free days in several streets in Beirut and outside it.

I went there. Very nice event. I agree that they should do the same for more streets. I just didn’t like the fact to see dogs there. It would be nicer to have it as car-free and dog-free day. I have nothing against dogs but just prefer if they do a separate event for dogs.
Good point….the amount of dog turds left on the street was shocking. They should send dog owners to be toilet trained.
every dog owner should cary dog waste bag, i can never leave my home if im taking my dog out with out them. its rude to leave the dog’s poop on the street.
