Few months back, I was posting about the gold medal awarded for Darmmess, an olive oil proudly produced in the village of Deir Mimas located South of Lebanon.

Today, the olive oil harvest in Der Mimas and other towns is in danger because of Israeli shelling that has burned so far over 40,000 olive trees and torched hundreds of square km of land.

According to the Agriculture Ministry, more than 100 fires in 60 different Lebanese villages were recorded since the start of the Israeli murderous war on Gaza. Israel has been responding to rockets fired from South Lebanon by unlawfully firing artillery shells containing white phosphorus, as documented by Amnesty International.
