After Sesobel in June 2019, one of Lebanon’s iconic NGOs in terms of road safety, founded in 2006 by Lina and Fadi Gebrane following the death of their son Hady in a car accident, Kunhadi has issued a statement citing financial struggles, leading to an overhaul in the organization in terms of location, staff and expenses:

Due to the Lebanese financial crisis and scarcity of sponsors, grants and donations, Kunhadi will be downsizing and cutting expenses and moving its office from Hazmieh to Jounieh.
However, Kunhadi will continue presenting free of charge Road Safety conferences to schools and universities and all other Road Safety projects will be executed depending on the availability of resources.

بسبب الأزمة الاقتصادية اللبنانية وبسبب ندرة الجهّات الراعية والتبرّعات، قرّرت جمعيّة “كُن هادي” تخفيض نفقاتها عبر وتقليص عدد موظفيها ونقل مكاتبها من منطقة الحازمية إلى منطقة جونية.
رغم ذلك، سوف تتابع جمعيّة “كُن هادي” تقديم محاضرات السلامة المرورية مجّاناً إلى المدارس والجامعات. أما بالنسبة إلى مشاريع السلامة المرورية الأخرى سوف يتم تنفيذها عند توفر الموارد المادية والبشريّة.
