Lebanese graffiti and street artist Yazan Halwani won gold in the “Peinture” (Painting) category at the 2017 Jeux de la Francophonie which are currently being held in Abidjan.

Les Jeux de la Francophonie are held every four years and combine artistic and sporting events for French-speaking nations. Lebanon has been taking part in these games since 1994 and clinched 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal back in 2013. There are over 90+ representing Lebanon this year in Abidjan.

I couldn’t find a reliable website to track down the results but I will update you on the final medals table by next week when the games will be over.

I love Yazan’s work and I’m always writing about his new murals. Congrats man!
