According to Annahar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Emigrants is set to announce next week the merger of Lebanon’s consulate building in Paris with the embassy’s headquarters. That said, the official address for the Lebanese consulate will eventually become “3, Villa Copernic , 75116 Paris, France” instead of “123, avenue Malakoff 75017 Paris”.
The move will help the ministry save up to 220,000 euros yearly. One has to wonder though why did we have two buildings in the first place so close to each other, with one of them in Paris’ richest districts?
