Rob, don’t be naive! It’s been 23 years since the Lebanese civil war ended and we still do no have electricity 24 hours a day (not even 12 hours a day for that matter.) It is not the fault of yalleh bi 3al2o. Trust me.
even though its NOT an excuse la t3alli2 and make it worse
lebanese have VERY short memory it seems, last summer we had much much less electricity
now we have more compared to last summer, but im pretty sure lebanese dont remember that thats y they dont notice, unless if they live in beirut where they already have descent electricity, i live in kesrwan btw and we didnt have descent electricity since forever even “before bassil” as some mention
yes we DO have 12 hours of electricity now
37% ( around 600MW ) of our power generated capacity of 1650 MW is stolen.
In terms of cost, this is over a billion dollar a year.
You are deprived from 6 hours of daily supply because of the illegal connections which are causing a lot of damage on the grid cables and transformers.
Add to that the danger they are causing with all these hanging cables in the streets.
Moreover we are paying for this loss one a way or another.
it is like turning the AC ON while all ur windows are open or filling a cup with a hole in it. It is all wasted energy.
We should help with this National campaign.
The Ministry of Energy, Interior, Defense , Justice, EDL and SPs are working to end this phenomena. So far 2600 fines were given across all areas in Lebanon including Hay El Seloum, Beb EL Tebeneh ….
Check the Ma T3ale2 App ( Apple and Android ) . Pictures are horrible.
You can also help by sending pics through the app.
Red, seriously the people that do 3lla2, will not listen to this campaign or anybody else for that matter. Same goes to the people who throw there trash out the window, cross red lights, park on sidewalks, can’t wait in line, etc… This is the culture of some Lebs, this behavior needs to be taught at a young age.
duh point taken but when few of them go to jail the rest will listen.
What is important is to raise awareness among us lebanese to understand how damaging Te3li2 is and to start reporting it.
no, mat3ali2 ta tijeh el kahraba this lebanese mentality is just stupid
