Amer is a 7 year old boy with a wild and magical imagination. Meshkal, inspired by true events, is the story of Amer’s journey as he sneaks into his dad’s car in the middle of the night and goes tire burning with him. [More]
I think the topic she chose for her film is quite interesting. As weird as this may seem, I am curious to know more about these Lebanese who go out and burn tires to express their anger. Why do they behave that way and who incites them to commit such acts are questions we all ask yet no one has tackled yet.
In fact, maybe if someone (Dania maybe?) talked to them and explained how harmful it is to burn tires for the environment, they’d stop doing it. This being said, I am glad she decided to come back from NYU in New York city to Beirut and I hope many will support her and other talented Lebanese film-makers.
