Beirut Na2essa Alwen (بيروت ناقصها ألوان), aka Beirut Colors, is a group founded by 3 Lebanese who believe Beirut is missing colors. For that purpose, they are taking their ideas to the street and adding colors to old buildings, streets, roofs etc …
Their last project was Rmeil in Colors which was executed with the collaboration of Achrafieh2020 during the Rmeil car-free day last Sunday. You can check pictures of Rmeil in Colors event [Here] and more about Beirut Colors [Here].
It’s good to see such groups emerging and adding some life to old buildings and streets.
That is a great idea but they could be more creative and instead of putting random colors like a rainbow they can draw something nice. for example check what this german guy did to an old bridge:

sorry this work is discusting , w 5sousi the color , when we paint such stone we are destroying the beauty of it, so can u imagine that we are destrying the specs of this stone infinitely , which if we decide to make restauration for this building its gonna be imposssssssssible , and that dont help to save heritage , i believe that there is better place to make this ideas, there’s a thousand of concrete place can be painted like that , thank you
Hey there,
It’s an abandoned destroyed parking space, Those colors were used to give a bit of life to it. Most of the neighbors agreed and loved it and didn’t quite took it as destroying the specs of the stone. We shouldn’t mix every abandoned destroyed space with heritage… it’s not really significant what you said.
Anyway “Beirut Na2esa Alwen” Mission is not restricted to paint, It’s a lot more than that 🙂 Thank you
Not bad, and we hope that the Beirut Na2essa Alwen will be part of our incoming event in Geitawi Rmeil area from 21st of January til 5th of May 2013.
