A promising young rugby player passed away after receiving a blow to the head during a rugby game on March 15. The 15-year-old Lebanese-French player, Nicolas Haddad, collapsed following the blow and went into cardiac arrest. He was swiftly transported to the hospital but sadly didn’t make it.
The young teenager was passionate about rugby and had been playing since the age of 6 for the Toulon Rugby club (Saint-Maximin-Brignoles-Val d’Issole, RSMXV). Several tributes were paid, and all matches in the region this weekend will be preceded by a minute’s silence in his memory.
This is a very unfortunate incident. May he rest in peace, and our thoughts are with his family and friends.
