It is almost official but not yet published that gas prices will drop by 5000 L.L as of tomorrow.
At last, we got something positive out of the bickering between the two political parties ruling (and ruining) the country.

Something fishy about this, first Gebran Bassil proposes a 3,300LL decrease on the price and Raya Hassan refuses it, then Raya Hassan proposes a 5,000LL decrease to the president…
Added to that the fact that Najib is posting this, so…
I’m just thinking, can the new government support and cover up for such a decrease in price, it is after all a good percentage of the original price…
What makes it weird is how just this morning, this country was going into a serious gas crisis over tensions between Hassan and Bassil:

hassan has been telling gebran that the gov cant afford this decrease, in addition to the fact that he is not the one with the authority to decrease/increase prices.
he insisted on playing the victim role in order to fool the crowds, hassan seems smarter.
now not only she dropped the prices, she gave the next government a cool fireball to carry on.
