FIA President Todt was visiting Beirut for the second time in two years. He met with President Aoun and Prime Minister Hariri and they discussed on ways to advance road safety, sustainable mobility and motorsport in Lebanon and the Middle East.
ATCL has been working for years with FIA to guide and train young and promising Lebanese drivers. The training they’re getting is crucial to achieve standards in young driver training and safety, and getting local talents to compete worldwide and achieve results. Last year, Karl Massaad made history by clinching his first podium at Thruxton Circuit in the F4 British Championship certified by FIA.
As great as Karl’s accomplishments are, Joe Ghanem was the person who actually “made history” when it comes to Lebanese competing in single seaters and GP races abroad. Karl is a great racer, no doubt whatsoever, but your previous article about him and mentioning him in this one is not quite the true perspective when it comes to Lebanese Driver’s accomplishments internally.
