WenSehranTonight, an instagram page that promotes nightlife in Lebanon posted today the list of nightclubs and venues that will be reopening this weekend. The events won’t be promoted on social media according to that same page, but the venues felt the need to re-open given that there are over 15,000 employees making their living from this industry.
This isn’t the first time nightlife prevails in times of war in Lebanon, and there were articles back in the summer bragging about Lebanese partying in times of war. Even with things escalating dramatically lately, many Lebanese are still going out and living their lives normally. If restaurants and malls are open, why not nightclubs?
Some call it resilience, others call it denial, I think Lebanese feel helpless after going through all sorts of disasters in the past 5 years and just want to enjoy life one day at a time. There’s no right or wrong answer here to be honest.
