In celebration of the Tokyo Olympics, Japan has carefully crafted 213 unique kimonos inspired by each country’s culture, history and scenery. The “KIMONO Project” aims at showing a gesture of friendship and peace towards countries and refugee athletes attending the Olympics.
This is Lebanon’s Kimono on which you can see churches and mosques lined up with each other, the Baalbek temple, Raouche (Pigeon Rock), the Phoenician boat & Alphabet, the Phenix and grapes in reference to Lebanon’s famous wines.
