Anyone can guess which road this is? The reason I decided to make it as a riddle is that this is one of the most highly frequented shortcut roads in the Keserwan area, yet hasn’t been fixed for over 30 years maybe only until recently. I wish Zouk Mosbeh’s municipality kept records of when this road was last fixed, I can almost bet it was never touched since the day it was inaugurated.
Funnily enough, I spotted few banners from the municipality on that road saying no more pollution in Zouk Mosbeh. I fail to see how spreading new tarmac in a 100% industrial area will stop more pollution.
For a road that hasnt been fixed in 30 years, it looks to be in pretty good shape. be more accurate 🙂
Chahe,
Point is it has been fixed 2 weeks ago 🙂
I will add hasnt been fixed until recently.
Najib,
You could have said that. Right? 😀
Actually Najib, that road was fixed about 12 years ago, but the asphalt was scrapped about a year after that cause people were sliding on the turn. And then u get super heavy trucks going and coming from the depots and factories that mangle the roads. The base is all screwed up so even this new asphalt will start wobbling in a few month.
Guess you found out which road I am talking about. 12 years is a very long time as well.
hopefully this new asphalt they are using uses bigger gravel on the top side and they won’t need to scrape it…the old tarmac had small gravel that would sink to the bottom when the tarmac is hot and all you’re left with is this slippery shiny surface…
12 years is not much for asphalt if it’s done properly, but this is a heavy wear road because of all the heavy trucks…
