Beirut’s municipality has finally granted St. Georges hotel’s owner, Fadi Khoury a license to rebuild and fix the iconic Beirut hotel. The real estate “war” started with Rafic Hariri and then continued with Saad, with the giant “Stop Solidere” banner becoming a daily sight for those driving by.

Despite being granted this right, the St George has unfortunately lost its historic bay to Solidere and the Zaitunay Bay. Nevertheless, this is still good news as the man has every right to rebuild his hotel.

Quoting Fadi Khoury, “This is the best era for the St. Georges even though we’re going bankrupt”. 😂
