Old Passport of a Lebanese Jew Beirut's only synagogue, the Maghen Abraham Synagogue, is apparently set to reopen very soon. Asharq Alawsat newspaper interviewed the head of the Lebanese Jewish community Isaac Arazai who stated that Lebanese from all religions contributed to the renovation of the synagogue, including Solidere, and that the opening ceremony will be a private one and will be presided by a Rabbi. via Nader The BDL issued a new 50,000 bill on the occasion yesterday of the 50th anniversary of its foundation. I asked around for pictures of the new bill and here are the pictures I got. The new bill looks nice and is much better than the horrible one, which had a spelling mistake, that was released on the Independence day. via Moukahal
