Khalil Lawand and his son Ibrahim Lawand built from scratch what should be an F1-lookalike car using the same dimensions as an F1 car, a BMW 528i engine, and even including a DRS system, “a form of driver-adjustable bodywork aimed at reducing aerodynamic drag in order to increase top speed and promote overtaking”.
To be honest, it looks more like an old F3 car or an F1 car from the 1990s, but still you have to admire the work they put into it. Attempts at building homemade F1 replicas require a lot of time & effort yet are not always that convincing.
I was looking on their Insta page to hear the engine sound or see the car speed somewhere but there’s only a small clip shot at a karting circuit.
Let’s hope they find a suitable road with a couple of corners to speed on and show us the outcome 😁. Who knows? it could come out faster than this year’s Ferrari 😂😂
