According to this article, Salah Abdel-Maksoud, Egypt’s Information Minister, has forbidden all Egyptian TVs from broadcasting any show including Haifa Wehbe or Elham Chahine. The article continues that Haifa’s latest divorce from Egyptian businessman Ahmad Abu Hashima may have something to do with the ban.
