The Jounieh fireworks yesterday were even more spectacular than last year and I was at one of the best spots to watch them all on the roof top of Hotel Monte Cassino, which is a new boutique hotel right next to the Casino du Liban. I posted a couple of shots I took and you can find below more pictures taken from the Jounieh Festival Facebook page.
Amazing aerial view of the firework by JimoTayek
pwettyyy pwettyy *_* Each year i say ill see it next year 😛
I HATE THAT I FORGOT THIS EVENT ! 🙁
Same photos each year.
Burning 500,000$ of tax payer’s money each year is absurd.
Why not spend it on road works and other use full stuff for the people of jounieh?
i agree John! exactly same photo each year!
not to mention the air , water, soil and noise pollution that fireworks causes
does it add more fun to an event? can’t we enjoy our moments without having fireworks all over?!
Sorry to be negative ,but i’m not proud of this fireworks show and any other fireworks show in general
i can understand that we use them once a year on independence day for example
but it in Lebanon it’s exaggerated like everything else
they use fireworks for every single wedding, every single roof-bar opening, festivals, graduations, all the saints memorials day and the world-cup
it’s old fashion and primitive ..it’s time to let it off for the sake of the environment.
it can be replaced with a light/laser show
Jounieh’s fireworks filled my facebook wall these past 2 days. I don’t know why people are so proud about it. adults acting like babies! waaw fireworks, we are so strong! look what Lebanese can do!
not 1% of these people stop and think for a second that he or his children will be breathing ,
swimming and drinking the left overs of fireworks… but who really cares
if you mention this to someone he will laugh at you and take you for a fool and as most “educated” Lebanese the stupid reply will be “Man chou rah y2aser! kela mara! chou we2fet 3al fireworks!…..”
for those interested, google “fireworks pollution “
Party poopers
Love these photos, it’s good to know that the Lebanese still know how to have a good time, Lebanon’s image is so smeared with likes of terrorist
