Joyce Azzam has successfully scaled Mount Everest two days ago, and by doing so, became the first Lebanese woman and the world’s second female to climb the highest mountains of each of the seven continents, also known as the 7 Summits. The only other Lebanese and first ever Arab to complete the Seven Summits and reach the South Pole on foot is the one and only Maxime Chaya.

The 34-year old architect had completed six out of seven summits from The Seven Summits Challenge: Mt. Elbrus – Russia, Europe (July 2012), Carstensz Pyramid – Papua New Guinea, Oceania (October 2013), Mt. Kilimanjaro – Tanzania, Africa (March 2014), Aconcagua – Argentina, South America (February 2017), Denali – USA, North America (June 2017), and Mt. Vinson – Antarctica in November 2018.

That’s an incredible achievement to say the least!
