I’ve been meaning to buy a drone for photography for quite some time now but I didn’t need anything too professional or pricey. While it’s easy to find cheap drones just to fly them around, those that offer a decent aerial photography are usually at $1000 or more.
A couple of photographer friends of mine recommended I take a look at the DJI Spark and it seemed like the best option for me. It’s a mini drone that features all of DJI’s key features, has a solid camera and some pretty awesome FaceAware technology that allows you to control the drone with hand gestures. The drone also flies up to 4000 meters and operates within a 100 meter radius which is more than I need.
I didn’t want read thoroughly the user guide but I couldn’t figure out how to turn the drone on and off at first, so I guess it’s better if I read the manuals carefully so I don’t end up crashing it on the first attempt lol!
I bought it from BestBuy with the Spark Fly Combo at $540.
Go the same one and it’s amazing. But you have to get some slying skills.
My suggestion would be to download the mobile app, and run the drone over the simulator embeded in the app to start with.
Personally I got a license to fly from SANAD academy in the UAE. In Lebanon unfortunately its a bit the jungle as no official organization trains drone enthusiasts for this new hobby.
