Every time I'm walking from Ayn el Mraysse towards the lighthouse, I notice a large number of fishermen gathering around one specific spot, which is where the sewers are discharged down into the Mediterranean. The second phase of the new Jal el Dib bridge has begun and as a result, a considerable chunk of the highway towards Beirut was closed. People have been sharing pictures of a red Berdawni river since yesterday. It appears that color originated from a chemical or a dye from a nearby factory in Hzerta.
