Update: Woman smoking on MEA airplane got arrested

Source Al Arabiya mentioned yesterday that the woman who was puffing on a cigarette on a Middle East Airlines flight was taken into custody upon landing. One of the blog's readers mentioned that the plane did an emergency landing and handed the woman to the police. It would be interesting to know if she was jailed or fined or banned from traveling. I hope she didn't just get a warning and walk out.

I know it's a bit cliche but I enjoyed it. In fact, I think such videos and promoting Lebanon's diversity in general could be useful to attract tourists. It's definitely better than the current Ministry of Tourism commercials.
