The latest iOS 15.4 beta introduced by Apple now allows you to use Face ID while wearing a mask and without needing an Apple Watch. The feature will be available for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models. In order to enable it, go to your Settings, and turn on the “Use Face ID with a Mask” option. There’s also a new feature to “Add Glasses” to make the Face ID more accurate.

While this feature has just come out, I’ve been noticed for the past few months that my iPhone unlocks randomly even with my mask on and I don’t have an Apple Watch. I’m not sure if it was supposed to work, but I’m glad they finally released this feature even though it’s a bit late now 🙄.
