The yellow traffic light usually means slowing down before the light turns red, however in Lebanon it takes a whole different aspect. Whenever Lebanese drivers see the yellow light, they feel like it’s the end of the world and step on the gas and take out everything in their way!
Whether there’s traffic ahead or not does not concern them. They will step on it, cut you off, yell at you and the policeman and block the road if needed. Just watch the video and you will see for yourselves.

Yup all those idiots who want the best in Lebanon and yet they cannot understand the simple concept that if they drive the way they do they cause traffic jams…
A while back when I was in Beirut I asked a gf of mine why people insist on not driving in the designated three traffic lanes. Her astounding answer was: because there is room for four cars to travel at the same time…why drive in the lane. Off course she as well as most Lebanese residents don’t grasp the concept of traffic flow…That’s why Najib you sit in traffic for hours and get your head filled with the sounds of the music. 😛
