Picture from yesterday’s demonstration in Martyrs Square – Beirut (via ArmeniansInLebanon)
April 24th may seem like another day for most people, but for Armenians in Lebanon and all over the world, it is a day of remembrance of their 1.5 million countrymen who were murdered by the Ottoman government during WWI. Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan offered his condolences yesterday “over the massacre of Armenians”, which is a first, but that’s not enough as Turkey MUST recognize the genocide and compensate for the families of the victims.
Last year, a new national stamp in Lebanon was launched in honor of the Armenian Genocide victims.

shall we not get over this ?
marz
Get over what? That 2/3 of a nation gets annihilated and you treat it as if you lost a cat? Stupid mentality!!
May all the victims of Genocides; Armenian, Jewish and Rwandan (who all commemorate the sad events in the month of April) rest in peace.
LOL touching…..GOOSEBUMPS…. Have you heard of Burma ? Syria ? Iraq ? Lebanon ?
Check out the daily news “””whatever you name is”””
That was in WWI
MOVE ON PEOPLE…MOVE ON
Marz you sound like a little confused. All those countries you mentioned…What of them? Do you have a point?
It is obvious you are a juvenile punk and your answer reflects your utter stupidity.
Mr. M
Don’t come here trying to preach and talk utter bullcrap all over the place just cz you have a different point of view, Respect Others.
That’s very mature, congrats brother… All the people who respect this subject are nothing compared to you. None of them have rights to defend their ancestors? to get their rights back? At least to hear an apology from a country(who’s still the same from WWI , with the same dirty mentality), and a confession that they have in fact killed an entire population, an entire culture, instead of saying that those were the conditions of WWI, and that the Turkish and Armenian populations went through starvation and harsh conditions together. You’re just as lame, pathetic, and full of C as they are.
I have one question for you:
Would you have said the same thing if it was your family or your people who got killed like that?
Never forget
OKAY JUST NEVER FORGET 😛 DONT MOVE ON…whatever floats your boat
I don’t want to answer to a total moron. So I let Joumana Haddad’s words do it…

I read what she wrote..its a gd read
What happened to the Armenians was the result of a massive Armenian armed rebellion against the Turks. Turks and Armenians were living harmoniously for years, but the Ottoman Empire was collapsing, and everyone was trying to take a piece. Bulgaria, Greece, some Arab countries were already formed. Russia gave the Armenians hope for a new country so they revolted against the Government. That is, they wanted an Armenia in the lands of the Ottomans. They stroke Turkish villages, many Turkish villagers died, many women were raped. Ottomans stroke back.
