Roadster Diner has re-asserted its commitment to food safety and quality and has decided to donate a full working lab to the Ministry of Public Health to improve their capabilities. Of course this is a good move but I am honestly quite surprised that the full report hasn’t been issued yet by Minister Bou Faour. We know nothing about the nature of the violations, the standards applied etc …
Instead of announcing few names every now and then, he should do it all at once and follow up in a month and that’s it. If his results are scientific and prove wrongdoings we all want to see how and where. As for Roadster, and despite being ISO 22000 certified, I think they should release reports showing their chicken is safe from the same laboratories the government is using.

7a 7abib 2albi, in a respectful country the MOH doesnt have to release nor explain anything. Its their responsibility and their job to take whatever action they find necessary without needing to explain anything to anyone. If any restaurant did violate any of the minimal regulation, the restaurant is CLOSED. And so what if it roadster dinner, the food isnt arriving from God in the end, its a business and with employees like any other, its also a busy one which means yeah the employees might be getting sleazy on their work after long shift hours, especially in a country like lebanon where no one usually is scared from any type of ministry or regulations.
“Its their responsibility and their job to take whatever action they find necessary without needing to explain anything to anyone.”… I think you completely misunderstand government… the government *should* explain everything they do, not to do so is dangerous, you’re an absolute idiot if you think the government can do that. Technically, the government works for the people, when I ask a question, they’d better have an answer. Not a flimsy shitty little list that has no data. I don’t know what roadster’s response was but i do trust them more than the government. A government should also clean up it’s own shit before pointing out the crap of others…
you should’ve known ,even the most famous ones in leb aren’t following the real food standards in Leb and i’m sure the lisf is a looooot longer .Do you really think the piles of Manouche and Jebne they sell in the morning in the bakeries where quees wait to get their breakfast done are really healthy ?They’ve got fast service to make ,of course they’re not healthy
To say the least, Roadster poorly handled the situation:
> No transparency: instead of the health ministry’s claim head on the issued a generic “pass partout ” statement. Either admit to having a problem and work on it to solve it, either deny the claim and provide proof to back your statements.
> Supplier problem: If haha chicken is Roadster’s chicken supplier they should maybe change suppliers because if people still or will learn to trust roadster again, it won’t be as easy for them to trust Hawa chicken anymore.
Customers have the right to know what they are eating, even though there are some who found the statement sufficient and are claiming that Roadster is more trustworthy than the government, Roadster should not act like our government it’s ok to let people know what’s going on behind the scenes…
peace
Every restaurant and supermarket is responsible to a certain limit of their food safety
but at the end of the day they wont put a personal laboratory to test everything.
first responsibility goes to the government
they must inspect every product that is exported to Lebanon and all the chicken and beef farms in Lebanon.
they also must inspect the providers of meat and chicken and other stuff..these guys tend to cheat for a higher profit
Restaurants and supermarket are more responsible of their hygiene and of course of keeping an eye on the product’s expiry date..
what happened lately is very stupid..going around tetsting and blaming ONLY restaurants and supermarkets
