It’s been almost four months now since the Beirut port blast took place, and despite the overwhelming evidence proving the negligence and incompetence of several parties, from the customs to the port officials, security agencies and several ministers and ministries, Judge Fadi Sawwan has yet to accuse one person of the explosion that killed over 200 people and ravaged Beirut.
Instead, he’s trying to throw the ball in the parliament’s court as he asked parliament to investigate public works and transportation minister Michel Najjar, finance minister Ghazi Wazni, and justice minister Marie-Claude Najm, as well as several formers ministers who held the same positions in the previous three cabinets. The worst part is that he only raised “suspicions” about the responsibility of some ministers and hasn’t provided any concrete evidence.
This being said, he’s trying to back down, and proving that he wasn’t fit for the job. Unf*ckingbelievable!
