“!كرمال أبطال الجهاز الطبي والصليب الأحمر بيوتنا إلكن”
Lebanese always find a way to help each other. But this time, it transcended all expectations. People opening their doors to welcome Lebanese Red Cross volunteers and Medical Heroes for free, and help them quarantine away from their families and close to their working places, since they’re one of the sectors that cannot stop during this coronavirus crisis.
The Airbnb initiative, launched a few days ago but already gathering huge momentum, was founded by around 5-6 Thawra activists coming from different backgrounds, dispersed all over Lebanon, coordinating with one another to fit in as many people as possible in houses and hotels around, for free. This, of course, taking into consideration the amount of people allowed to be together in the same place.
So far, 71 beds (48 rooms) in 38 sanitized apartments have been put to good use, between Beirut, Jbeil, Metn, Keserwan and the South.
