At least 114 people were injured, with 47 taken to hospitals for treatment. Security forces didn't spare any means to disperse the crowds, from firing tear gas, using water cannons and even rubber bullets. Most of the wounds were from rubber bullets, some in the face and upper body. Two protesters lose sight in one of their eyes as a result of this excessive use of violence.
