In a very welcome initiative, Hotel Dieu de France is turning into a tobacco-free hospital starting this January with a new campaign.

Smoking was already forbidden inside the hospital but people still smoked on balconies or in front of the main/ER entrances and in close proximity to the building. The new rule forbids doing so in all areas apart from the newly-dedicated space, and it stipulates a minimum of 9-meter distance from facilities in which smoking won’t be allowed. The campaign is already underway, to sensitize the personnel, the patients and the visitors to adhere to this initiative, diffused on November 15, 2018:

A place for smokers has been created inside the hospital’s campus, far from the buildings and the patients’ rooms:
