The Environment Ministry launched today a campaign to reduce the use of plastic bags, encouraging people to use eco-friendly bags and preparing them for the Plastic bags ban which will begin on October 15 . After mid-October, supermarkets will be requested to incite consumers to use eco-friendly bags and they will be charging LBP100 for every plastic bag will cost LBP 100. I don't remember the last time security forces didn't use violence to disperse protesters in Riad el Solh or Martyr's Square or pretty much anywhere in Lebanon.
