Three years after shutting down, Beirut's Uruguay Street was reopened for business last week. The street was renovated and reopened with nine new pubs and bars including Wicked, Sugar Fish, Monkey Bar, Mojito, Duval, LA Cantina del Patron, Casa de Uruguay, U Lounge Bar, and Gino Bar. Wael Arakji has delivered another strong performance with the Dallas Mavericks against Croatia as part of the NBA Summer League games. Wael played for a total of 13 minutes and 47 seconds, scoring 4 points with two assists and two steals. We need to show this young man all the support we can. He's competing with the best and proving that he has the confidence and skills.

Ever since I started blogging here, I hear about Beirut's airport finally getting some decent internet and it still did not happen. In fact, we had at least weird looking internet machines few years back, now I don't even think there's a WIFI channel to connect to but all this is going to change soon, as promised by Ogero head Imad Kreidieh. I had no idea who Patrick Moubarak was till few days ago, after a recording spread on social media in which he allegedly threatened Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Hezbollah leader. He is also heard insulting Islam and threatening to arm himself.
