Rami Rizk has been sharing some stunning aerial shots from all over Lebanon for a year now and I've been wanting to highlight his work for quite some time. He shared yesterday an album on Facebook highlighting his favorite 60 shots of 2018. We've been hearing a lot lately about hospitals asking patients for money before admitting them to ER and I've shared couple of videos on the blog. In order to report such violations, the Health Ministry has set up a hotline 1214 to call and inform the ministry about such a case. Throwing patients out of ER for not having money or papers is inhumane.

Despite all the security measures taken by the security forces, Lebanese Army, Civil Defense and other units, two people were killed in an accident last night and several others injured. Celebratory gunfire also caused five people to get injured. We can still call it a rather peaceful New Year's Eve given how tense things are in the country right now. Many thanks to all the officers and volunteers who were on duty on that night…
