I am not sure whether we should be praising the below news or not, because I am very skeptical as to how this current government or the next is planning to reduce congestion or improve public transport. Moreover, I am not really sure if we need further loans to repay and whether asking the World Bank for such a substantial amount is a priority nowadays. I never thought I would see Marcel Ghanem outside LBCI but the news was confirmed yesterday in a joint statement by Marcel Ghanem and LBCI’s CEO Sheikh Pierre Daher. It took me a second to figure out why the Ministry is selling ice-cream and I really thought it was a joke at first but it turned out to be a campaign to explain the new electoral law by the Ministry of Interior.
