On March 29th, Emirates will operate its first ever A380 flight to the Rafic Al Hariri International Airport, making it the first ever scheduled A380 service to Beirut. I just read that Robert Helou, better known as "Abou Fouad" from Procter & Gamble's "Yes" commercials in the 70s, '80s and even' 90s has passed away. His commercials were the best back then and he was loved by all Lebanese. May he rest in peace.

I saw a tweet yesterday by Lebanon's Foreign Affairs minister stating that Lebanese expats will now be able to get a Lebanese passport for only 1000LL and that it will be delivered to them free of charge. The aim from this move is to incite expats to vote in the upcoming 2018 May elections. It is definitely a smart move to get expats to issue Lebanese passports and vote but charging them 1000LL is ridiculous…
