The second phase of the new Jal el Dib bridge has begun and as a result, a considerable chunk of the highway towards Beirut was closed. People have been sharing pictures of a red Berdawni river since yesterday. It appears that color originated from a chemical or a dye from a nearby factory in Hzerta. This is not the first time such a thing happens after Beirut's river turned red few years back and the Litani River turned white. Minister of Culture and the Order Of Engineers And Architects Of Beirut announced yesterday along with the Italian Ambassador and architect Hala Younes that Lebanon will be represented officially at the 16th edition of the Venice Biennale for architecture.
