A Wings of Lebanon charter plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Larnaca airport in Cyprus after the pilot's windshield cracked in mid-flight at 37,000ft. The company eventually rented a MEA airplane to send the 120 passengers safely back to Beirut. The plane was not owned by Wings of Lebanon but rented temporarily from Olympus Airways. Mona Baalbaki, the previous head of Pharmacy in Rafic Hariri Hospital "has been sacked by the General Disciplinary Council for stealing a large quantity of health ministry-donated cancer medicines from the hospital and selling them for hundreds of millions of Lebanese pounds". The worst part, as per the same report, is that she was replacing stolen medicines with expired drugs given to a larger number of cancer patients, mostly women and children, without their knowledge…

Instead of controlling the valet companies and fining those who are breaking the law , the Ministry of Interior & Tourism agreed in a joint statement to fix the valet service price at 5000 Lebanese Liras.
